How to best protect your head and eyes in one go
We often hear from workers that they do not like wearing safety glasses at work for various reasons. Whether it is because the glasses are uncomfortable, fog up, or do not fit over their prescription glasses. By not wearing the required protective equipment and ignoring safety regulations, we not only risk a penalty from the inspectorate but, more importantly, we risk our own safety and, indirectly, the safety of others around us.
To make head and eye protection in the workplace even easier, MSA has developed a helmet model that also includes eye protection. This way you do not need two pieces of protective equipment: you pull the eye protection down over your eyes when you need it, and otherwise it can be stowed inside the helmet. You can wear the eye protection over your prescription glasses, and because it is coated with protective coatings, it will not mist up and is more scratch-resistant. It will also protect your eyes from UV light.
With the aim of developing the most refined integrated head and eye protection for industrial workers, MSA held interviews with more than 300 end users. The result is the V-Gard 930 with integrated eyewear for 360-degree protection.
