The men's hiking trousers BN001 V2 contain a RECCO chip. This chip helps rescuers search for you in the event of an avalanche.
How can a small reflector help rescuers?
The RECCO® search system has two parts. A passive reflector, which you always carry with you as part of your clothing or gear, returns signals to the detectors that rescuers use to find climbers or skiers buried in an avalanche.
In an avalanche, the detector has a range of up to 20 metres, but the more reflectors you carry, the easier it is for rescuers to find you. Another advantage of the RECCO® reflector is its worldwide use – it is the most widespread rescue system, used by more than 900 ski resorts and rescue services in 32 countries.
How can I check whether my clothing has the RECCO® system?
You may not even notice the reflector on your clothing at first glance. Although it weighs less than 4 grams, it will serve you for life. It never needs to be replaced, charged or maintained in any other way; it works as the passive part of the RECCO® rescue system.
If you are planning ski touring, off-piste skiing or any activity in demanding mountain terrain with an increased avalanche risk, it is a good idea to check that you have one on you. Look for the RECCO® symbol on your clothing; on trousers it is usually at the bottom, above the ski boots, and on jackets check the sleeve or the back section under the hood.

If a product can be ordered despite being currently unavailable, you can also order it when it is not in stock in our warehouse. In that case the delivery time is usually longer. We will inform you of the expected delivery time by email if needed.
If the option to order is not available on the website, you can write to us at prodaja@utg-vodnik.si and we will check whether we can additionally order the product, size or colour you want.
When choosing a size, we recommend checking the size chart or the additional information given for each product, as sizes can differ between manufacturers.
We normally dispatch orders within 1–3 working days if all the ordered products are in stock. For orders paid by bank transfer, we dispatch the order within 1–3 working days of receiving payment.
For products that are currently out of stock, the delivery time may be longer. In that case we will inform you of the expected delivery time.
The payment methods available are those shown at checkout in the online shop. For business customers, payment by bank transfer (proforma invoice) may also be available by arrangement.
Let us know about the return using the returns, exchanges and complaints form or any clear statement sent to info@utg-vodnik.si or by post; using the form is optional. Then send the goods to UTG Vodnik d.o.o., Tolstojeva ulica 12, 1230 Domžale, Slovenia, or return them in person by arrangement. Original packaging and the invoice are not a condition for a return, but we recommend quoting your order number. You can find more information on the Returns and exchanges page.
Wash at a lower temperature than the label allows if the garment is not heavily soiled; close the zips and wash the garment inside out; do not use bleach-containing detergents for dark clothing. The meaning of the symbols is explained on the Textile care labels page.
