# Why do we say that a children's coverall 'grows' with the child?

## ADJUSTMENT FEATURES - WHAT DO THEY MEAN?

Adjustment features are functions on a coverall that let you adapt the size of a children's coverall to the child. [Children's coveralls](https://www.utg-vodnik.si/en/children-rsquo-s-range/children-rsquo-s-coverall) have elastic snap fasteners sewn onto the sleeves and trouser legs, which stop the little one from stepping on the trouser legs or having sleeves that are too long. In addition, they have elastic sewn into the waist, which gives the child a closer fit.

All this means your little one can wear a larger coverall without it getting in the way or looking as if they are “swimming” in it. That is why we always advise our customers to rather choose a larger coverall for their child, especially if it will be worn over their own clothes. That way it will also last a year or so longer.

## WHAT ABOUT [BIB TROUSERS](https://www.utg-vodnik.si/en/children-rsquo-s-range/children-rsquo-s-bib-trousers)?

Bib trousers also have adjustment features – like the little coveralls, they have elastic snap fasteners sewn onto the trouser legs, and elastic at the waist as well. They differ from children's coveralls in having elastic braces whose length can be adjusted.

## HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY CHILD?

You can use the chart below, where the coverall size equals the child's age. For example, if your little one is 6 years old, they are probably somewhere between 110 and 116 cm tall. Size 6 will therefore be the right one for them.

Our sizes for the children's range are quite generous in themselves, as the coverall or trousers are meant to be put on over the child's own clothes. That way the child is ready in a moment to play or help their parents without having to worry about getting dirty.

If you are unsure about the size, we always advise our customers to take the larger one. However, it is not wise to overdo it: few children need more than one size larger than their age.
