# How does the colour of nurses' uniforms affect patients' well-being?

Colour psychology has long played an important role in designing the interiors of healthcare facilities, from walls and floors to tables and chairs. Brown, as an earthy tone, symbolises nature, security, reliability and strength. It can create a grounded sense of comfort and warmth. Brown also expresses history and connection.

## Purple

Purple combines the calming elements of blue with the power of red. It is associated with royal power and authority, and suggests wealth, extravagance and pride. Purple is both an encouraging and a calming colour.
